I was tired and having to take a nap every afternoon. Since eating Pulse, I have more energy than I have had in years. I no longer take the afternoon nap, in fact, I am up every morning at 6:00 and don't go to bed until midnight. I feel more alert and know that putting this kind of nutrition in my body has literally revitalized my health and reversed many of the problems that I was having.
I was not on blood pressure medicine, but the doctor had been threatening that he was going to put me on some if my blood pressure went any higher. It was 145/85. After eating pulse for a few weeks, it dropped to 120/70 and has stayed there for the last ten months.
The doctor was very impressed and told me to keep eating the pulse as it was obviously having very positive effects, not only with my blood pressure, but several other areas of my health. What an easy way to get better...without the doctors and expensive medicines...all I have had to do is eat pulse and other whole raw foods, drink water, walk 20-30 minutes three days a week and enjoy the outdoor fresh air. My life has changed!

I am 55 and I teach little ones (kindergarten/grade one.) Over the past two years, I have started to change my life habits towards a healthier lifestyle. I had been on 3 medications, including steroids and inhalers for late onset asthma, and my doctor had just prescribed more drugs to alleviate ill-health symptoms. It did not seem right to me, and so I took a high risk and ventured to see a Naturopath.
She started me off on a anti-Candida diet and highly encouraged whole grains, fruits, and vegetables. She also recommended herbal supplements to help restore healthy bacteria and to replenish my system. Within 6 months, I was off all prescriptions (except for my thyroid medication)! One of these medications was an antidepressant, which I was supposed to be taking for the rest of my life as a result of brain chemical imbalances. My asthma was gone as well. Quite an unbelievable story due mostly to a change in diet.
I always knew about the value of drinking water, and my young students have a water bottle on their desk. There is so much research that shows that the brain needs water when it is learning something new. But water alone, does not do the primary nutrition our body requires.
A friend of mine introduced the Food First foods to me, and as I was always on the lookout for good, wholesome food, this was perfect for me. Especially for the convenience. I could just take the can with me on supervision, and still eat healthy! I had no idea how much my body could still improve! For the 10-day Food First program, I lost 11 pounds, which is fantastic, but that was not the most amazing result. I had been waking up in the night between 1 and 3 a.m. for the past 10 years, on the average of 4-5 times per week. Within the first two days of eating Pulse and taking Dynamic Plus, I started sleeping through the entire night! I woke up refreshed and energized.
In addition, my stress level dropped during this 10-day period. This was during Report Card season, We are a high-technology school, and I am responsible for integrating, applying for, submitting, and writing closing reports for projects that generate the income we need to help pay for our technology. I had 9 projects to close with over 60 teachers involved. I was able to do it all! Without getting sick! Pulse nourished my brain to help me think clearly, kept my body working efficiently, and helped me keep balanced to still teach and work with my young students with a great, positive, attitude, even in the midst of what could have been a nightmare!
My husband has started to use the Food First products, too, and has lost 12 pounds. My daughter, who had a hard delivery of her third daughter, when her sciatic nerve was damaged, used the Food First products to energize and heal. Whenever she started to feel too exhausted, she would take a spoon of Dynamic Plus, and this would see her through with more energy in those first few days after the birth.

I am a 44-year-old male who “used to be” in excellent shape…of course that was when I was 24 yrs old, 5’8” tall, and a trim 160 pounds. I was quite active and reasonably healthy. As life progressed, so did a few other things along with it. My weight gain for one, due to a poor lifestyle of unhealthy choices, especially in the area of my eating habits. But there was always hope. I knew how to remedy this problem, in the back of our minds we ALL knew how, right? I tried many different methods and like millions of others, I joined the yo-yo ride up and down, only to end up frustrated, unhappy and fed up.
After 20 years of restaurant eating, I weight 195 pounds, I was out of shape and more importantly, unhealthy and unhappy. I again decided to try it on my own. I started to exercise, along with a regimen of eating whole, natural foods such as vegetables and fruits for two meals a day. Because of my work schedule, each evening after work, I would visit one of my many favorite restaurants and celebrate for the progress I had made earlier that day. I would eat the usual steak, ribs, or pasta dishes and drink my favorite assortment of alcoholic beverages.
Although I felt successful in losing 17 pounds this way, I still wasn’t quite able to grasp the whole concept of a proper balanced healthy lifestyle. I felt better…but I certainly didn’t feel great. During this period, I was first introduced to the Food First products. It took me until August to finally attend an introduction meeting. I decided to take the 10-day challenge and followed the program religiously.
I had no idea what was about to hit me. After months of eating vegetables and fruits and exercising, I thought that IF I experienced any results or improvement at all, it would be minimal. Wow, was I wrong! I immediately had my first good night sleep in years! I found the taste of Pulse wonderful. I found the convenience and ease of the food-all pre-packaged to go-a blessing for my busy lifestyle. I experienced a couple brief moments of mental fuzziness in the first couple days, but after that, my mental clarity and energy level shot up through the roof.
Never in my life had I consumed the amount of water I did during Food First, but after a short time it didn’t seem difficult at all. Halfway into the program, my cravings for junk food and alcohol ended.
I felt great taking the pro-biotic every morning. My digestion drastically improved. My sense of smell improved too. I was calmer throughout the day and became stressed less easily. I loved the Parched Pulse for snacking as I watched TV, rather than chips or pretzels. I quickly began to crave Pulse, and literally ate as much as I wanted so I would never go hungry.
The funniest part was I was just feeling happy all the time, for no other reason than just because. The “because” in my opinion, was because my body was finally feeling what it had missed for the previous 20 years, the feeling of true balanced health. One more thing: I lost 13 pounds and 6 inches from around my waist. I saved a ton of money from not eating out every night. Today, I am discovering how great Pulse tastes on salads and by using the various recipes. Today, I am in the shape I was in 20 years ago. Who knows, probably better! How do you say thanks for that?

My husband and I did a Food First Program together and we both experienced very positive results. I lost 9 pounds during the 10-day period and my husband lost 12 pounds. We both saw tremendous increases in our physical energy levels. I began waking up at 5:30 in the morning and cross country skiing in the dark with a headlamp which is something I had always thought about doing but never thought I had the energy to try. We also experienced an incredible increase in our mental clarity. It was like putting on my glasses in the morning-things just became much clearer-zing!
We both began to sleep much more soundly at night. But perhaps what was most amazing about the Food First Program was the number of nagging health issues that began improving or disappearing altogether. The greatest of these health improvements came to me in terms of hormone balancing. My hormones had been out of balance for years causing several miscarriages, severe PMS with irritability and mood swings, and very painful menses. The menses right after the 10-day program was the mildest I had experienced in eight years. Each month it just gets better and better.
For the first time in years, I feel that my hormones are balanced and being produced in the proper amounts. It’s amazing to think that raw, whole foods and water could have such a big impact on my health.
My husband has lost an additional 8 pounds on the Food for Life program. We both continue to experience overall better health the longer we are on Food for Life. We love making Pulse a part of our daily diet and so do our two girls.
We feel that the Food First program is the right product and the right message at the right time. It has sure made a difference in our lives!

At the time we literally stumbled onto the Food First booth at a trade show, I knew I was in bad physical shape because of hypertension. My weight shot up 40 pounds almost overnight, which then caused me to have shortness of breath (my wife often wondered how I was going to draw the next breath), low energy and constant fatigue. The doctor had me on 5 prescriptions for the hypertension, which only complicated everything. We felt at the time that the Food First program could at least offer some help and hope.
Before Food First, I was eating maybe 2 raw, whole foods a day 5 days a week. I’m now eating at least 4 whole foods, plus the 24 in Pulse, every day. I’ve always been a pretty good drinking water, but I’ve almost doubled my in-take of water. I did very little exercise, if any at all, before starting Food First but now I walk, lift weights, and use our hydraulic bike at least 5 days a week.
It is amazing what those changes have done for me. Since January, I’ve lost 32 pounds, I’m down to 2 prescriptions (mild ones compared to the others), blood pressure is down from 188/122 to 122/78, and cholesterol is down from 288 to 139. My kidney function is now normal (I had been getting up 5 times a night). My heart doctor dismissed me because “he has sick people to see” and my internist told me to keep on keeping on with the Pulse. It’s wonderful what it has done for me physically but even more wonderful what it has done for my self-esteem.
Food First will be a part of our lives from here on out!

After hearing an advertisement on the radio about Pulse and attending a Food First meeting, I started my Food First program on February.
Each day of the program was different. At first the differences were very subtle for me as my husband and I have tried to maintain healthy eating as a matter of course, which gave us the added advantage of having fewer toxins to eliminate. The first benefit I noticed was that I lost some unwanted inches from my belly after a little intestinal discomfort.
Before the program, I ate about eight whole, raw foods each day. I still do that, so with the Pulse, I’m getting about 32 raw foods every day. I used to drink quite a bit of water, but I’m getting even more now, about 10-12 glasses a day.
Adding more raw, whole foods and water to my life gave me an increased capacity for my exercise routine. I had to increase the difficulty on my stair-stepper in order to work up a good sweat, and I’m able to lift more weights. Primary nutrition has been energizing!
My primary reason for starting a Food First program was to see if it would help my irritable bowel problem. I’m happy to say I no longer have IB, I feel healthier and stronger, have more energy, and I’m less stressed under stressful circumstances. My body is more flexible (my knees no longer "crack" when I kneel down), I’m no longer troubled with arthritic swelling in my hand, and my sinus problems are gone.
I feel more mentally alert and I’m sleeping more soundly. My cravings for unhealthy foods are down to zero. I was already a pretty energetic person to begin with, but now I feel “bright eyed and bushy tailed” when I get out of bed in the mornings, which has not always been the case for me.
There were a number of times when I was eating on the run, and the individual-size cans made it simple to nibble as I went. It gives an entirely new meaning to fast food. With all of the benefits I have received from raw, whole foods and water, I’m going to continue on Food for Life. I look forward to savoring each tasty morsel right down to the crumbs.
Over the years I have done and continue to do a lot of research and study about nutrition. As a result our eating habits have changed for the better, although we’re not perfect. I was looking for more nutritious food. Pulse is wonderful food, and my husband and I are excited about it!

Primary nutrition has benefited my whole family. Since starting Food First in February, I’ve lost 15 pounds and don’t crave sweets anymore. My husband has lost 30 and he no longer has pains in his knees.
One thing that is really great is that he used to be a heavy snorer at night, but no longer! My teenaged son loves eating Pulse right before his martial arts class because it gives him energy. My daughter eats the Pulse before her dance classes and it gives her energy, too. Our whole family loves eating the Pulse and we don't seem to catch colds or any sicknesses. My son has been diagnosed ADHD. He has been on medication for quite awhile. Many people have told me to have him tested for food sensitivities, so I thought that I would try something with the Pulse, since I know how much it has helped me.
I decided to take him off of all milk products, flour, anything with sugar in it and all processed foods. Pulse was a convenient food he could eat, and it gave him an awesome variety of whole foods. I did let him have other things such as eggs, oatmeal, raw fruits, veggies and lean meats, but 90 percent of his diet for ten days was Pulse.
He barely drank water before eating Pulse; about three cups per day was his average. He has doubled that, and now drinks about six cups per day. Before this “program,” he would wake up every morning talking nonstop, and making continuous noises. On day four he woke up calmer than I had seen him for a long time. It has been two weeks since he has started eating Pulse and I have seen great improvements in him.
His counselor has noticed a big difference. He commented that my son was more aware of his surroundings, actually listening and responding in an appropriate manner, and of course the nonstop chatter has ceased. I have also noticed that he is having an easier time in his school work.
I called his doctor and told her the results. We have lessened the amount of medication that he is on. He still eats quite a bit of Pulse everyday. He loves the taste!

I started Food First in August. I had been on thyroid medication for 26 years and over the years my hair has thinned a great deal. In fact, around the time I started Food First I was also researching options for hair restoration.
Before Food First, I probably ate only about two raw, whole foods a day. However, I was eating some good Chinese herbs that were likened to raw, whole foods. I still use those. Afterward, I have probably tripled my raw, whole foods or more, not including the Food First products I eat every day (which is another 24+). It really made me crave more vegetables.
I’ve been pretty good about drinking water. Before, I probably drank about 8-10 glasses of water a day. Now I get about 14 glasses of water a day. I drink about a quart of Chinese herbal tea and still continue that. I usually take a big glass jar (about 32 oz) and fill it up and refill quite frequently.
With the increase of good nutrition, I made the choice to lower my thyroid medication. My heart was racing like mad for two days, and, of course, my doctor was out of the office! I have been on thyroid medication for 26 years. I cut my pill in half and continued to take that amount. I had a physical scheduled with my doctor six weeks from that point, so I thought I would see what happened. I know it is unwise to go off medication like that completely, so I figured that half a dose would keep it in my blood. I have been feeling pretty good!
When I went in for a checkup at the end of September, I talked to the doctor about what I was doing. Thankfully, we can communicate well with each other, and he thought it was pretty good—as long as the blood test results turned out well. I gave him a small can of some Pulse to show him what had precipitated the change.
He also ordered blood tests. I was unable to get in for them until the week of Thanksgiving. A week later, I learned that my blood work came out perfectly. I had the doctor fax it over, and everything—from blood sugar, sodium, potassium, thyroid, cholesterol—couldn't have been better! I can stay on the low-dose thyroid.
In addition, my hair has grown back and is better than it has been in about 12 years. Yippee! It is probable that the lack of nutrition and the long-term thyroid medication contributed.
I am a mom with three kids and help run two businesses, so my exercise habits are lagging. However, I think that the Food First products have simplified my life and have given me enough clarity that I finally am able to get a great exercise schedule off the ground.
What I like most about Food First products, besides what is has done for me, is its convenience. It is so fantastic to be able to take a can (or now a bar) with me when I run errands or am out on sales calls and have great nutrition on the go. It has saved many dollars and my health as I’m not having to stop at a fast-food place (yuck!) to try to get something to fill me. I can take top nutrition with me.

The Food First program was an eye-opener for me. It really taught me what to eat without having to do the work. Just open the containers! I wanted to “test drive” the product before I used it with others. It was what I was looking for in my holistic bag of tools, being in the healing business. Also that famous American catchword, “free,” lured me to the internal question, “well, what do you have to lose?” I really didn’t need to lose a lot of weight and was in excellent shape, but had many allergies. I also suffer from chronic asthma, which I’ve been able to control somewhat with Pulmicort, a bronchial steroid.
I’ve done okay with raw, whole foods, getting 4-5 every day. I was drinking water in fairly equal proportion to soda, milk, and juice. Since Food First, I’m now getting at least 24 raw, whole foods every day and I drink water almost exclusively, 8-10 glasses per day. After three days on Pulse, dried vegetables, water (lots of water!), fresh fruit and vegetables, I took a chance because I felt so good—I stopped the medications. The congestion in my lungs was completely gone and my sinuses had cleared. I found this to be quite amazing since I had tried just about everything before including extreme exercise! My complexion is much better, as my skin doesn’t itch, and I lost five pounds. I also got rid of some carbohydrate addictions. My cravings are gone except for pizza every now and then.
It’s now been almost a month with no medications and no asthma. It shows you what the body can do when it gets what it needs. For great health, go back to food basics 101—whole foods with no additives and lots of them. I’m still not exactly sure what happened but I’m glad it did.

I had been studying health for over 30 years when I first heard about the Food First program. Several of my friends who had been very healthy eaters of whole foods like I was decided to try the Food First program to see how it would work for them. After completing their Food First program, they reported that their skin and muscle tone had improved and that they felt great.
I still felt skeptical, but decided to try it to see if it would do anything for me. I really didn't think it would improve my health at all because I ate a lot of whole foods anyway. Before Food First, I ate about 8-10 whole raw foods per day in my diet. Of course afterwards, that skyrocketed to around 30 different whole raw foods per day.
In the first 10 days of the Food First program, it actually shocked me when I saw how much energy I had and how my moods had greatly improved. I slept deeper and had no depression, which is a miracle. I also had more energy and felt euphoric. What I liked best about the Food First program was the convenience. I didn't have to chop, shop, and prepare and try to rack my brain as to what to fix for meals.
I really love that aspect of it.I’m now a believer that Pulse is a wonderful food, and have added a lot of Pulse into my daily routine.
