My wife was eating the Pulse for about 2 months and one day she asked me if I wanted to try it and do the Food First Program. I didn't know anything about it, but I figured I would give it a try just to see if I would feel a difference.

Before Food First, I was eating about 4-5 servings of raw, whole foods per day, and about half of what I drank was water. I’ve been a jogger for 23 years, and the last few years, I have been doing stretching, sit-ups, pushups, and some weight training at home 2-3 times a week.

I completed the Food First program in the early spring. Since then, I have incorporated a serving per day of the sweet Pulse into my daily food choices. Most mornings, I have about 1/2 the serving with cantaloupe and a few raw walnuts before I go to work. Then at morning break at work, I have a banana and the other 1/2 of the serving of Pulse. Now I’m eating around 27 whole food every day, and 90 percent of the time I drink water.

I make smart choices from the cafeteria at work and regularly have the carrots, tomatoes, broccoli, cauliflower, and cucumbers from the salad bar. It was kind of fun taking the Pulse and Anasazi Parched Pulse to work and have people ask, “what's that?” Or, “is that all you're having for lunch?”

I’ve been tracking my cholesterol levels yearly since 1995, and I even have one blood test from 1985. The 1985 test showed cholesterol over 200 back then, even though I was jogging way more then. In the mid ‘90s, I started to be more selective in what I was eating and the levels showed only mild improvement.

Then I started taking a couple garlic tabs every day and that helped lower my cholesterol more, but it was still mildly high. For the last 6-7 years, no matter what I did, the blood test reading didn’t really change that much. So the one thing that was added this year is the daily serving of Pulse I have. I suppose it is the assortment of different raw foods and the rich supply of fiber every day that helps absorb the cholesterol and triglycerides.

I was looking forward to my annual blood test in October to check my current cholesterol levels with the previous year. The results were quite pleasing:

• Total cholesterol was REDUCED by 15 points • HDL was INCREASED by 20% • LDL was DECREASED 3.2%

and, this is the big one,

• Triglycerides DECREASED by a whopping 49%

I actually had to pull out my test results for the past three years to make sure this wasn't just a fluke. I found out my triglycerides have always been on the high side, and now they are in the normal range.

The next time my blood test is due, I want to put myself on the 10-day Food First diet beforehand, and see what the results are after eating ONLY Pulse and other raw foods.

I was skeptical when I first learned about the results of others who tried the Food First program; however, I was willing to give it a try. I wanted to feel good again, and Pulse was all natural and that was what I had been looking for. I started perimenopause about five years ago, and I went through some tough changes. I had been depressed for a while was full of aches and pains, had gained weight, could not remember things readily and didn’t have enough energy to do even simple things. I was miserable! I did not want to take hormone pills or antidepressants. I heard that Pulse helped to make the body feel and function normally, so I tried it.

By the fourth day of Food First, I noticed a difference in how I felt and how I reacted to situations. By the tenth day, I felt like I was a totally different person. I lost seven pounds, my head de-fogged, and I even noticed that my teeth and gums felt better! When I brushed my teeth in the morning, they didn’t bleed and my teeth didn’t seem to be as sensitive as they used to be.

I’ve always liked vegetables and fruits, but eating healthy was a big chore to me. I was getting 1-3 whole, raw foods per day. I’ve always been a water drinker, but I don’t think I was drinking eight glasses a day. I drank soy milk once or twice a day and sometimes drank soda. I’ve always been an exerciser; however, when I started to be depressed that stopped almost totally. I’d walk a couple of miles a week and then stop and not exercise for two or three weeks.

Now, thanks to Food First, I eat at least 24 raw, whole foods every day, and I drink a half gallon or more of water a day. I have between 2-3 cups of coffee or tea per week. I now have joined Curves and exercise at least three times a week; I also take my dog for 30-minute walks 2-3 times per week. I feel great, I’m not depressed and I have much more energy than I had even before my bodily changes started.

I think the best thing about Food First was its convenience. I don’t have to spend long hours in the kitchen or the grocery store to get all of the right foods that my body needs. All I have to do is pop open a can of Pulse and relieve my hunger. It’s also great when I’m running errands because I don’t have to stop at a fast-food store to get something to eat. I carry a can of Pulse with me wherever I go in case I get hungry.

I have been eating Pulse for more than forty days now and I feel terrific! I am now seventeen pounds lighter. I feel so wonderful that I want to tell everyone about this wonderful product! I decided to become a distributor so I can do just that, and make a little extra money too. I am so grateful to the Food First products. They’ve given me a new lease on life.

When the Food First program found me, I knew I was looking for something, I just didn't know what it was. I had worked and played hard all my life. Now, as I approached 50, I couldn’t do a lot of the things I took for granted and enjoyed. In my mind I’m still a teenager, but my body felt awful.

For dinner, I load up a fresh salad and add Pulse. Now with the convenience of the new Pulse Bars, I can enjoy healthy food on the go too.

I came to Food First with an active background in skiing, running, and biking, so I know the importance of proper water intake. Since I started eating Pulse, I’ve even doubled the amount of water I drink. I finally quit drinking coffee, and enjoy more natural green teas.

We have all heard the phrase, you are what you eat. If you eat junk, what can you honestly expect to receive? It’s a no-brainer-eat a variety of raw, whole foods, drink lots of pure water, and get on a regular exercise program that is appropriate for you.

For many years I have been overweight and have always been battling cravings for chocolate, cookies, breads and pastas. Exercise had always seemed like a chore. I was always hungry-even after I just finished eating. I always knew that the key to weight loss was to eat right, drink water, and exercise, but I had never found a successful way to do that.

At one point, I decided to try the Atkins diet because people were losing weight and felt satisfied with their hunger. Before I started the program, I used to get foot and knee pains almost daily and I have not had one incident in the last six months. I also used to have headaches all the time and I would frequently take Tylenol and Advil almost every day. Now, I rarely have a headache! I’ve found that my mood is more stable too.

I currently eat one to two servings of Pulse a day. My favorite food is Pulse mixed with soy yogurt and fresh fruit for breakfast. I stopped drinking diet drinks when I started the 10 day program and I do not miss them. I drink lots of water all day long. I eat whole grain breads, turkey and fresh fruit or vegetables for lunch, and salads and grilled fish or chicken for dinner.

It has now been almost 6 months since I started Food First and I have lost almost 30 pounds! My cravings for chocolate and carbohydrates are being replaced by cravings for whole foods, fruits and vegetables. For the first time in my life, food no longer rules my life. I feel like I am free! I can eat Pulse whenever I want and my body feels satisfied. For the first time, exercise is actually something I look forward to and it takes a lot more exercise for my body to become tired than it did before Food First.

My weight is not returning, nor do I have the desire to stop eating Pulse and whole foods. My body craves these types of foods now. I never want to stop feeling as good as I do!

Food First has had a powerful impact on our lives. Before we discovered the Food First program on the Internet, I weighed 185 pounds (I’m 5’4), my cholesterol was 225 and I had had polyps cut out of my colon six months before. I am 68 years old.

My husband Jim weighed 270 pounds and was 6'2". He could not walk through the airport without cramping legs. He stopped walking where possible. He slept in a lounge chair because he could not lie down without severe gastric reflux. He also had sleep apnea also. We lived with this for two years.

I look better and feel better mentally and physically. My husband has a new lease on life. I was literally thinking about planning his funeral before we discovered the Food First program. Now he can sleep in bed with me. He does not even snore. We are overjoyed with the results of a change in life style. We eat Pulse for breakfast and anytime we are too busy to cut and chop our vegetables. Our taste buds have changed. Before starting Food First, I knew I never had the variety of foods I should be eating. I was eating maybe three or four raw, whole foods a day, and drinking 3-5 glasses of water for every other beverage.

When I started on Pulse, I had been pensioned out of my career in the construction industry for about five years due to a permanent back injury. My fitness was pretty poor. My general health wasn’t real good, either.

I initially tried Food First because I wanted to lose weight. I have achieved many more benefits than just weight loss by eating Pulse.

I just had my annual exam with my doctor. Last year, at my annual exam, I gave reports of lethargy and exhaustion. I went this year and compared the basics: Resting heart rate, blood pressure and weight. I had lost 10 lbs and both my heart rate and blood pressure were better. My doctor wanted to know why? Eating and exercising was the answer. It’s so simple BUT I had not maintained a regular exercise program since my third daughter was born. I am 56 and developed a food addiction when I was a young child. My mother would offer me food when I needed to feel better-usually empty carbs like bread and butter and potato chips.
