I did the Food First program recently and found I had no trouble sticking to it even though the first few days were pretty intolerable. I found I couldn't get through all the Pulse but I loved the parched stuff and made soups twice a day.

I shed five kilos and lost an inch off my waistline and half an inch elsewhere.

I decided to join up and I hope to get some folks involved as I travel around Australia in my new motor home. It sure is convenient and lightweight food for travelers.

I continue to make Pulse one of my meals everyday. I feel well but have lost no more weight since I finished the 10 days a month ago.

The hustle and bustle of life had gotten a hold of me the past seven or eight years. That and a bad back resulted in a drop in exercise and a gain of almost 70 pounds. Having been an athlete all my life and enjoying exercise, the extra weight hurt me physically and mentally. With a father who died of a heart attack at 49 my sisters and wife were begging me to do something.

I started Food First the second week of November. I decided to do it without any exercise so I could see what the program itself could do. I ate some fresh fruit and veggies and actually chewed a piece of home-made pizza one night but otherwise followed the probiotic, Pulse and water regimen strictly. By the fifth day I had completely stopped snoring and by the end of the tenth day I had lost 16 pounds.

The next week was Thanksgiving and, even though I was excited to continue, I knew some things just had to be accepted — Thanksgiving dinner is one of them. One week, two Thanksgiving dinners and a couple of days of leftovers later I had LOST four pounds. I really noticed I was looking at food differently. I was enjoying each bite so much more, I was cutting back on the desserts and sweets. I did a second Food First program with a little more modification (some whole-wheat bread, fruit, veggies) and lost 10 more pounds. Thirty pounds in less than a month! Feeling great inside and out.

Two months later, I've stayed with the probiotic in the morning, occasional Pulse for snacks (sometimes missing a day or two) and some kind of exercise every day. I have lost a couple pounds a week and now I’m down 50 pounds. The terrible cycle of gaining weight and eliminating exercise has completely reversed. I sleep so good, I'm a more pleasant person to be around and am fitting clothes that actually look decent on me.

I can't say enough about the positive changes my short experience with the Food First program products has been. It's been a life-saver.

I started the program and cheated a bit, it was hard after 30 years to change overnight and go cold turkey. Throughout the ten days I had one coffee, 10 green stuffed olives, one tuna toasted sandwich and a couple of mouthfuls of salad. I’m not proud because I know how great the program was, so much so that I started it again for another ten days, three days after completing the first one.

All in all, the program went very well. I didn’t really measure myself but my belt was the indicator. My belt holes are about one inch apart and from start to end I went from the very last whole down to the fifth hole, so I came down four holes. I couldn’t believe it! In such a short time I lost that much in size. I also weighed in at about 9 kilos lighter by the end of the 10 days and these two factors make up why I’m doing it again.

After going through the thorn to get to the rose, I realize I had more time to do other things instead of sitting out two hours a day for meals and I had more time to do other things because I wasn’t feeling lethargic when I ate after meals like before.

Thank you for putting all those delicious whole foods into those easy-to-eat meals. I have always wanted to eat whole foods but the time and effort it would take to get all the foods together like you have done would be a monumental task and would also be cost prohibitive.

I was delighted to discover how pleasant the Pulse tastes. After doing the Food First program, I found that after a couple days I was craving the whole foods more and more. I also was pleased to see that after 10 days I still had food left over even though I ate liberally during the 10-day period. Even though I am a runner with very little excess weight I lost five pounds and no longer crave sweets and other foods that are not natural.

The thing I appreciated most about your product was Dynamic Plus. I normally drink phytonutrient drinks but the one from the Healthy Alternatives was not nearly as offensive in taste. I sincerely hope you continue to create more products. I look very forward to consuming them.

I am generally a healthy eater and have weighed 135 pounds at 5' 8" since I was about 18 (I am now 34).

I found Food First to be difficult after about the third or fourth day. I modified the challenge by eating spinach and arugula salads with all kinds of vegetables and I used olive oil and vinegar as dressing. I also made gazpacho several times and found that to be a satisfying supplement to a salad or a serving of Pulse.

Every day I would look forward to making soup with the Aztec and having it with a spinach salad for dinner. (I got to missing warm food a great deal and the soup was great).

The main things I got out of Food First was appreciation of the Pulse and Anasazi and the convenience of these products, and integrating more raw veggies in my diet. After the challenge was over, I indulged in a few 'empty' nutrition foods that I had missed and found them to not be as satisfying as I remembered. I now crave and desire the Pulse and all the colorful raw foods that are available.

Food First helped to open my eyes to being more observant of what I choose to eat. I appreciate the opportunity to participate in the pilot program of Food First and I look forward to enjoying the products and sharing them with my friends for years to come.

Before I started on Food First in January, I ate raw, whole foods regularly but ate more wheat products than my body wanted and fewer vegetables than it wanted. After starting on the program, I have been attracted to eating many more raw or stir-fried fresh vegetables and I have moved away from wheat and sugar, and I feel better without those in my diet.

I have never been attracted to drinking a great deal of water, but I’ve found that I drink more water when consuming the Food First products. I also drink a great deal more water at work. My digestion has noticeably improved since I began eating Pulse. I have not been drawn to eat empty caloric foods since starting on the Food First program and have a feeling that I won't go back now that my body is feeling so much better.

I am becoming very attracted to exercising more. I taught dance aerobics for twenty years and quit about three years ago. I have recently been inspired to going back to teaching again.

My experience with Food First program has been a good one. I have found myself liking the product more and more. My addiction to soda has dropped to where I don't think of drinking four cans a day or more all day long. I will continue to drink as much water as I can even though the 10-day program is over.

I really did not sign up with the Food First program to loose weight. I am happy weighing 125 pounds at 5' 7". I want to eat healthy, feel more energy and just be healthy. I believe Food First has done this for me. I run 3 miles 5 times a week with less effort than before. My stamina has increased. Being a reasonably healthy eater I was a bit dubious that I would get any benefit. In fact I was worried I was going to lose weight, which I do not wish to do. With that in mind I still stuck to the program.

Overall I was mentally clearer, considering the stress I was under. I gained about one kilo (2.2 pounds) in weight for the 10 days which was great as I was noticeably losing fat for the first few days. The energy remained constant and I only needed about seven hours of sleep a night whereas I usually have about eight.

On the last day I did a 20 kilometer bush walk and had good reserves of energy the whole trip. I ate one big tin of Pulse and 3 pieces of fruit for the trip. To the healthy people out there, you will still find benefits from Food First even if you believe you will not.

I started on the Food for Life program eating pulse and whole foods about 9 months ago and it has changed my life. My sister was a distributor and strong believer in the nutrition of the food at the time and she encouraged me constantly to start the program.

I was overweight, always tired, unhappy, and at age 23, you should not have to feel that way. Since I am a teacher, I decided that I would definitely benefit from eating better and wanted to change my lifestyle to have more energy and feel better about myself while working and being social.

I started the Food First program in April during my spring break. I had a lot of support. My friends and family were key to getting me moving, and keeping me motivated. It was a big change to go from eating whatever I wanted to eating Pulse and other primary nutrition. However, I was not a stranger to Pulse. I really enjoyed the food even before starting the program, but I did not like fresh, raw vegetables and rarely ate or appreciated fresh fruits.

With moderate exercise, such as walking 3-4 miles about four times a week, and sticking to the guidelines of the program, I was able to lose almost 60 pound after six months. It was amazing to me how the weight just melted off. My body really wants to be healthy!

I had a ton more energy, really did sleep better (even though I was skeptical about that), and just appreciated living more. I think the clothes fitting again were the best part! I have more confidence and everyone I know can’t believe the difference.

I drank a minimal amount of water before the program and it was overwhelming at first to have to drink only water. About three years ago, I did try to lose weight on my own and drank about four liters of water a day, so I am not a stranger to drinking large amounts. With Food First, I didn’t drink any kind of juice, cut out pop all together, and now I crave water everyday. I know that when I’m not feeling well it is because I did not drink enough water in my day. It has changed my tastes so much that it is my choice of drink with all meals.

Food First also changed my tastes for sweets. I used to love ice cream, sweets, and sugar, but during the program, I didn’t crave any of them, and even now I still eat them sparingly. I also don’t eat much dairy, and before I couldn’t get enough cheese, and ice cream.

The holidays were difficult and bad weather has not helped in continuing the weight loss, but I now know a guaranteed way that I can feel better, lose more weight, and am planning to start up another round of whole food living and exercising. In addition, I now know what my body needs to feel good. I can recognize what food my body is craving, and I don't feel the need to overeat anymore. This experience was definitely a positive lifestyle change that will influence me forever.
